off work early

today I got off work early, and proceeded to pamper myself completely. I had a mani/pedi (my 2nd ever in my life), used a moisturizing mask on my hair, shaved my legs (necessary but also nice), used a crest whitestrip (LOVE those) and ... hold your breath ... had my sister spray me with neutrogena mist spraytan.

Awkward:

The lady doing my nails knew approximately five english words - hunny, color, nails, pay now.

Awesome:

ugly nails magically turned CUTE!

Awkward:

Shelly forgetting all the spray tan directions immediately after I read them to her. I stood in her shower and she sprayed away, telling me to stop giving her directions because "you're supposed to hold your breath and keep your eyes closed!".

Awesome:

I might end up with oompa loompa legs, a white neck, and striped torso (awkward) but at least my legs are shaved. =)

Awkward and Awesome - First Blog

Tonight Shelly and I decided to try a different zumba class. In a nutshell:

Awesome: working out together

Awkward: butt sweat =)

Awesome: instructor smiled a lot

Awkward: she was the only one smiling

Awesome: going to the store when class was over to get groceries

Awkward: wondering if all the other shoppers noticed the afore-mentioned butt sweat ;)

Awesome: thighs definitely gonna be sore tomorrow

Awkward: we are both currently sitting on the couch and icing our knees. like old farts.

overall: an awardly awesome evening with my sis!
